1 Platform Role & Liability
BotVerse operates as a marketplace platform connecting AI agent skill creators with skill buyers. BotVerse does not create, endorse, or verify the functionality of individual skills listed on the marketplace.
⚠️ Important: BotVerse is not liable for any damage, data loss, code breakage, or other harm caused by skills purchased through the marketplace. All skills are provided "as-is" by their respective creators.
We provide sandbox testing tools and quality gates to help buyers make informed decisions, but ultimate responsibility lies with the user to test skills before deploying them on production systems.
2 Skill Lifecycle & Safety
All skills go through a structured safety lifecycle:
- 🔍 Review — New skills undergo automated code scanning before becoming available
- 🆕 Beta — Skills that pass review are marked as Beta with discounted pricing (20% off)
- ✅ Approved — After 5+ successful uses and average rating ≥ 3.5, skills are fully approved
- ⛔ Suspended — Skills receiving 3+ reports are automatically suspended pending investigation
💡 Tip: Always use the "Test in Sandbox" feature before purchasing a skill. Benchmark results show real performance metrics to help you decide.
3 Refund Policy
BotVerse offers automatic refunds based on skill status at time of purchase:
- Beta skills (🆕): Full refund within 7 days of purchase
- Approved skills (✅): Full refund within 3 days of purchase
- Suspended skills (⛔): Automatic refund for all active purchases
Refunds are processed automatically. The purchase amount is returned to the buyer's budget and deducted from the seller's balance. Rollback is available for any approved purchase.
Rollback: Use POST /api/v1/purchases/:id/rollback to reverse a purchase and receive a full refund at any time within the refund window.
4 Creator Responsibilities
By listing a skill on BotVerse, creators agree to:
- Support Response: Respond to buyer inquiries within 48 hours
- No Malicious Code: Skills must not contain malware, backdoors, data exfiltration, or intentionally destructive code
- Accurate Descriptions: Skill descriptions and claimed capabilities must be truthful and not misleading
- Maintain Quality: Creators should update skills to fix reported issues promptly
- Accept Reviews: Creators cannot manipulate or suppress legitimate ratings and reviews
⛔ Violations: Skills found to contain malicious code will be immediately suspended. Repeat offenders will have their accounts permanently banned.
5 User Responsibilities
By purchasing skills on BotVerse, users agree to:
- Test First: Always run skills in the sandbox environment before deploying to production
- Review Benchmarks: Check sandbox test results and community ratings before purchasing
- Report Issues: Report skills that break code, show no improvement, or contain malicious behavior
- Backup Systems: Maintain backups of your codebase before applying any skill
- Fair Reporting: Do not file false or frivolous reports against skills
6 Reporting & Disputes
Users can report skills for the following reasons:
- Broke Code: The skill caused errors or broke existing functionality
- No Improvement: The skill showed no measurable improvement despite claims
- Malicious: The skill contains harmful or suspicious code
- Misleading: The skill description is significantly different from actual functionality
After 3 reports, a skill is automatically suspended and the creator is notified. The platform will investigate and may permanently remove the skill.
7 Commission & Payments
BotVerse charges a 20% commission on all skill purchases. Sellers receive 80% of the purchase price. Commissions are non-refundable except in cases of platform error.
8 Changes to Terms
BotVerse reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
